Loyalty app development
A branded loyalty app for retail chains, cafés and studios
Put your loyalty programme in an app your customers recognise as yours. Members see their points or stamps, get offers that matter to them and collect rewards at the till. Your team sees who comes back, who has stopped and which promotions actually sell.
A loyalty card that lives in the app.
Tap "scan" a few times — the points climb and the free reward unlocks. That is what your members will do at the till.
It’s live — try it right here, nothing saved.
What a loyalty app does
A member card in the app and in Apple Wallet
Customers join once and show one QR at the till. The card can also live in Apple Wallet, so it is on the phone even when the app is closed.
Points, stamps and rewards
Points for mixed baskets, stamps for a daily coffee, class packs for a studio. The reward unlocks itself when the member reaches it, and the balance is always visible.
Offers and push notifications
Personal offers, a birthday gift, a first-order bonus, a message to someone who has not visited for a while. Sent to the right segment, not to everyone.
Gamification
Game mechanics give members a reason to open the app between purchases — for example, collectible cards with prizes, as we built for a beverage retail chain.
Admin panel and analytics
Your marketing team launches promotions, promo codes, segments and campaigns without a developer. You see which locations and which customers are growing and where there is a dip.
Checkout connection
The app talks to your POS, customer database or existing loyalty platform where they have an interface. We review the systems first and put the integration into the scope with its own estimate.
Loyalty mechanics we build
Your commercial rules stay yours. We turn them into software:
- Stamp card — a free coffee after a set number of stamps; the paper card can run alongside for a while.
- Points — for example, one point per euro and a reward at a set balance.
- Tiers and member status — better rewards for your most loyal customers.
- Class packs and memberships — for studios and services that sell visits.
- Win-back offers — a targeted message to customers who have stopped coming.
- Promotions and promo codes — launched by segment and measured by sales.
Not sure which mechanic fits? Our 12 loyalty program ideas for small businesses explain when each one works. If you do not have a programme yet, we help define the software decisions for a first version.

Ready-made loyalty platform or a custom loyalty app?

Consider custom loyalty app development when you need a branded app, specific loyalty rules or connections to your own systems. If a standard service already covers the task, we will say so. Weighing a simple digital card first? Read Wallet card or your own app?
Reuse the foundation, agree the details
The starting approach uses existing app modules adapted to your brand and your customer journey. That cuts the amount of functionality we build from scratch.
We still define your membership rules, the data source and the process at the till. A points ledger, checkout integration, purchase history, reward redemption or ordering is included when it appears in the project scope — nothing is assumed.
Loyalty app cost and timing
A small first release can be planned from around five weeks when the scope, content and required access are ready. Store reviews and external integration work can affect the launch date. Running costs and third-party fees — store accounts, push and SMS providers — are listed separately in the proposal.
Six-month warranty. Coverage and ongoing support are set out in your project agreement.
The final estimate depends on
- Design changes to fit your brand
- The loyalty mechanics and features you choose
- Connections to your POS, checkout or customer database
- Extras such as gamification or ordering
From first message to launch
Tell us how your programme works
Share your current programme, your retail systems and the first customer journey you want to support. A short message is enough.
Agree the scope and quote
We define the first release, responsibilities, price and delivery date before development begins.
Review the build
You see the agreed screens and working flows as the project develops. Changes are assessed before extra work starts.
Launch and hand over
We prepare the release, test joining, earning and redeeming end to end, help with store submission and hand over the project as set out in your agreement.
Case study: a loyalty app for a beverage retail chain
The chain’s old app was slow and expensive to maintain. We rewrote it from scratch on a new architecture and migrated the customer base. Then we added what makes people come back: a loyalty card integrated with Apple Wallet, push notifications with personal offers, a collectible-card game with prizes and a full admin panel for promotions, promo codes, segments and campaigns. More on the habits behind those numbers: how to increase customer retention. The stack we build with.
