Coffee Shop App: Order Ahead and Skip the Line
A branded app for a coffee chain: sign in, the menu with favourites, a product with milk and syrup options, checkout with pickup time, and a profile that reorders the usual in one tap.
About the project
Caffeine is an app for a coffee chain with a morning queue. The people in it are regulars: same drink, same milk, same time. They would happily order from the tram if the app made it faster than saying it out loud at the counter.
The brief: an order in three taps for a regular, a menu that does not hide the customisations, a pickup time the customer trusts, and a profile that keeps the favourites and the card so the second order is the fastest thing they do that morning.
What we built
Sign-in is one screen with email or a social account and no interruption before the menu. Home greets the customer by name, shows the drinks they order most as "your favourites" with a reorder button, and the full menu below by category with prices.
The product screen is where coffee shops lose people: size, milk, syrups, temperature — all on one screen with the price updating as they tap. Checkout confirms the shop, the pickup time in ten-minute slots and the total, and takes the saved card. The profile keeps favourites, order history and the loyalty stamps, so the app has a reason to stay on the phone between visits.
What the product does
Five mobile screens: sign-in, home with favourites, product with options, checkout with pickup time, profile.
A regular reorders the usual in one tap from the home screen.
Every customisation lives on the product screen with the price updating live.
Pickup slots, the saved card and loyalty stamps make the second order faster than the first.
