Web design agency

Small business website design and development

A website should do one job well: help the right people understand what you offer and get in touch. Pazl is a web design agency for small businesses. We design and build service websites, landing pages and redesigns with clear service pages, real proof and an enquiry form that is easy to use on a phone.

Who we design websites for

Most of our website briefs come from businesses that sell a service and win clients through trust: a practice, a studio, an agency, a firm, a local service company. Typical situations:

  • You have no proper website yet, or a one-page placeholder that does not explain what you do.
  • Your current site looks dated and people still call to ask about prices, availability and how you work.
  • You launch a new offer and need a focused page for it, with a message that matches your ads or outreach.
  • Your site has grown messy: pages were added over years, nobody knows which ones matter, and the contact form goes to an old inbox.

If people need to log in, place orders or run a process on your site, you need a web application rather than a company website. That is a different scope, covered by our web app development service.

What you get

Website development services: what we build

  • A service business website

A home page, an about page, one page for each important service, project examples and a contact page. Every service gets its own page with a clear description, who it is for, what happens next and a way to get in touch. This is the structure people expect before they contact a business, and the structure search engines can understand.

  • A focused landing page

One page around one offer or campaign: a consistent message, relevant evidence and one clear next step. The page can connect to the way you already handle leads — an email inbox, a CRM or a messenger.

  • A website redesign

A rebuild of an existing site: new structure, new design, clearer content and a simpler enquiry path. Current URLs are reviewed before launch, so pages that bring visitors today are kept or redirected, not lost.

  • Add-ons when the site needs to do more

Some sites need a feature that is a small product in itself, scoped separately as part of the site or added later: online booking with reminders for clinics, studios and salons; a customer portal where clients see orders, documents and requests; an online store with a catalogue, cart and checkout; a WhatsApp assistant that answers and books from the same site.

Small business website design that brings enquiries

Good small business website design is less about decoration and more about removing the reasons people leave. Every site we design covers the basics:

  • Clear services. A visitor should understand in a few seconds what you do, for whom and where.
  • Proof in the right place. Project examples, credentials and the facts that matter for your clients sit next to the service they support, not on a separate page nobody opens.
  • Prices or price guidance where you can give them. The question "how much?" is the most common reason people call. Answering it on the site saves both sides time.
  • An enquiry path that works on a phone. Short forms, a visible contact button and a clear message about what happens after someone gets in touch.
  • Mobile layouts designed alongside the desktop ones, not squeezed in at the end.
  • Search foundations. Page titles and descriptions, indexable content, a sensible page structure, internal links and, where agreed, analytics.

Search rankings depend on more than a website build. Keyword research, ongoing content and search performance work are separate activities and are included only if they are in the proposal.

Website redesign services without losing what already works

A redesign often fails in the same place: the new site looks better, but the pages that brought visitors and enquiries disappear. Our website redesign services start with what you already have:

  1. 1

    Review the current site

We list the existing pages and agree which ones to keep, merge, rewrite or retire.

  2. 2

Map old URLs to new ones

Pages that move get a redirect, so bookmarks, links from other sites and search results keep working.

  3. 3

    Rework the structure and content

The new page list follows your current services, not the history of the old site.

  4. 4

    Launch and check

Before launch we test the agreed pages, forms and redirects; after launch we check that the old addresses lead where they should.

Share your current address and what needs to improve. We will suggest a page structure and estimate the rebuild.

What we agree before the build

Before design starts, we write down:

  • The page list — which pages are in the first release and which can wait.
  • Content responsibilities — who writes the text and who supplies photos. You can bring prepared material or ask for content work in the estimate. Your company details, claims and project information need to be accurate either way.
  • Visual direction — the design approach and the screens you will review before development.
  • Functionality — contact forms, a content management setup if your team needs to edit services, articles or projects, and any integrations.
  • Technical foundations — mobile layouts, titles and descriptions, analytics, redirects for a redesign.
  • Handover — what you receive at launch, including the rights to the custom work, as set out in the agreement.

That document is the scope. The price and dates are tied to it, and changes are assessed before any extra work starts.

Pricing: small business websites

from €2,500for an agreed website scope.

The price depends on the number and type of pages; design work — adapting an existing visual style or designing page types from scratch; content — whether you supply text and images or ask us to prepare them; functionality and integrations — a content management setup, forms connected to your CRM, analytics; and redesign work — reviewing and redirecting existing pages.

A booking system, an online store or a customer portal is a different scope from a service website and is estimated separately. Hosting, third-party subscriptions and any ongoing content work are listed in the proposal. The price is fixed once the scope is agreed, and every project includes a six-month warranty; coverage and ongoing support are set out in your project agreement.

When a template is enough. If your content will rarely change and you need no booking, payments or logins, a website builder template can be the sensible choice, and we will say so. The more your site has to do, the less a template fits. For a detailed breakdown of website prices across builders, freelancers and agencies, read How much does a website cost?; for the website builder or custom website decision, our guide walks through it.

How it works

How we work: from first message to launch

  1. Tell us what the site needs to do

Your services, your clients and your current site, if you have one. A short message is enough to start.

  2. Agree the scope and quote

We define the pages, responsibilities, price and delivery plan before development begins.

  3. Review the design and the build

You see the agreed screens and working pages as the project develops. Changes are assessed before extra work starts.

  4. Launch and hand over

We prepare the release, test the agreed pages and forms and hand over the project as set out in your agreement.

Everything can run in chat; a call is available whenever you prefer to talk.

Project examples

Northside Family Clinic is a service website with online booking: services with prices, doctor pages with credentials and a live calendar, and a three-step booking flow on one screen. Our casting platform for the film industry has accounts for three kinds of users, casting listings, subscriptions and a blog — a web application rather than a service website; if your requirements go that far, see web app development.

FAQ

Web design questions, straight answers

A builder gives you templates and hosting; you still decide the page structure, write the text and make it work on a phone. An agency does that work with you: it plans the pages around your services, designs them, builds the site and checks that forms, mobile layouts and search basics work before launch. For a simple site that rarely changes, a builder can be enough.
Yes. Share the existing address and explain what needs to improve. We review the current pages and agree which to keep, change or redirect, so the pages that bring visitors today are not lost at launch.
We agree content responsibilities before starting. You can provide prepared material or request content work in the estimate. Your company details, claims and project information need to be accurate in either case.
If your team needs to edit services, articles or projects, we include a suitable content management setup. The editable sections and the handover are specified in the scope.
The delivery date is agreed in writing together with the scope and price, before development starts.
The build includes the agreed technical and on-page foundations: titles and descriptions, indexable content, page structure and redirects for a redesign. Keyword research, regular content and ongoing search work are separate and included only if stated in the proposal.
Yes. A booking flow, a customer login or an online store can be part of the first release or added as a later phase. Each is scoped and priced separately so the first site stays affordable.
