Finance Web App with a Dashboard Builder
A web app that shows a company its money: a dashboard the founder assembles from blocks, transactions by account, a P&L that reads like a sentence, and a phone view for the morning check.
About the project
Numera Ledger is a finance app for a small company: not the accountant's ledger, the founder's. The question it answers every morning is "how are we doing?" — cash across accounts, what came in this week, what is due, and whether the month is tracking to plan.
Off-the-shelf tools answer that for accountants, in their language. We wanted a product where the founder chooses which four numbers they look at first, reads the P&L without a course, and checks the balance on a phone before the first coffee.
What we built
After a plain sign-in, the dashboard opens on the blocks the user chose: cash, revenue this month against plan, upcoming bills, top expenses. The builder is where they choose — a palette of blocks, drag them into a grid, pick the period, save as a view. The chart palette was checked for colour-blind readability, because a finance chart nobody can read is decoration.
Transactions are a fast table: filter by account, category or counterparty, split a transaction, attach a receipt. The P&L report reads top to bottom — revenue, cost of sales, gross margin, operating costs, result — with each line expandable to the transactions behind it. Accounts show every bank and card in one list with balances and sync status. The two mobile screens are the overview and the transactions, the two things a founder checks on the go.
